The clock on my laptop somehow got set to a date in 2012. Although I see that some of my mail documents have dates in 2012, the biggest problem has been that logging has stopped ("Database time is too far in the future"). I am running a local copy of Notes with no server replica.

I found a similar situation posted at http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd6forum.nsf/0/e04fdb01227faaa885256ca0005228d3?OpenDocument. I tried running ncompact against log.nsf but still get the error 'time is too far in the future.'

I renamed the log.nsf file. For some reason, Notes is not automatically creating a new one. I manually created a log.nsf database but did not see Notes log to it. Are there special instructions for recovering from a deleted log.nsf database?
Thanks, Norbert
